Asin has completed her B.A. English Literature at St. Teresa’s College, Kochi. She has shifted from her home town Kochi to Chennai, whereAsin stays on Harrington Road. She is a native speaker of Malayalam, and claims to speak Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Sanskrit, English and French. Before becoming an actress, she was a part-time model and a businesswoman.
Asin is also brand ambassador for various products including Parachute, Fairever, Close-Up and Mirinda. She was also a part of Mani Ratnam’s stage show, Netru, Indru, Naalai alongside many other co-stars.
More recently, Asin has been making a debut in Bollywood, in Ghajini, the remake of its Tamil namesake.

Dasavatharam. Sources say that this may be due to a major surprise in her looks and make-up.Though industry sources are not confirming it, others say that Asin, who is belived to be playing a double role to Kamala’s 10 role , has a very good character in Dasavathram.
Asin, who loves challenges and likes to take up new charecters, is thrilled with the work that she has landed in Dashavatharam.
