Shibani virtually grew up on stage. Proficient in both Western & Indian styles of song
& dance, this fiery performer learned the ropes of the industry whilst in the spotlight
on Australia’s grandest stages, including the world renowned Sydney Opera House.
The big sister of the group Dmajor she relocated to New York, where she quickly made a
name for herself hosting no less than 3 nationally syndicated TV shows – ‘Namaste America’,
‘V Desi’ & ‘AVS’ (Asian Variety Show) and . In this role, she introduced Bollywood’s
biggest stars to American audiences. Shibani also hosted 'An Evening With Shah Rukh Khan
in Atlantic City' & Manhattan’s biggest Desi party – New Year’s Eve at the Supper Club,
Times Square.
She was itching to share her rich, velvet toned vocals & fierce dance moves so she took
the plunge and moved to India to puruse a career in music with her two sisters.
With her group Dmajor she performed in various shows all over the country including a 7
city tour opening for well known Bhangra act Stereo Nation. Dmajor performed in Abu Dhabi,
Kuwait and opened for Juggy D in Bangkok. The group hit it big by scoring the opportunity
to open for Akon at the launch of the Kolkata Knightriders team during the IPL.
She made good use of her smouldering look when she dabbled in modelling & fashion – being
shot for GQ magazine, serving as the face of 5 campaigns for Indian designer Payal Singhal,
appearing in a Close Up ad and appearing in a Sunsilk commercial with Priyanka Chopra,
From music to modelling to being an anchor, Shibani was ready to flaunt her first love
to the world once again and continued hosting major events in Mumbai such as the Maxim Hot 100,
Nike and the Sony Launch of the tribute to Michael Jackson 'This is It'. She appeared as the
host on Zcafe After Hours for a short period and is currently an anchor for a lifestyle show
for men titled Men 2.0 on AXN!!
Shibani Dandekar, a beautiful Marathi girl will anchor the pre-match show of SET-MAX in DLF IPL Season 4. She is a model, a television anchor and a singer too
